Preminilary Task
This our preliminary task, in this we shot a short clip where we used to 180 degree rule, this is where you shoot everything from the same side so that everything in the shot looks in place and is not confusing. This is an example of how the 180 degree rule works. This is used because if the camera suddenly swapped sides the footage may look unnatural to the audience as the characters would be at opposite points on te screen which would create confusion among some audience members.

Evaluation: Question 6
What Have You Learnt About Technologies From The Process Of Constructing This Product? Within the opening sequence we used many different programmes and technologies to help us create our final media product, we used both technologies that we knew and ones that weren't familiar with us. In each process that we went through there were technologies that we haven't used before such as:
Research and Planning
Powtoon
Prize
Slide Share
Emaze
Survey Monkey
Mac Computer
Blogger
Adobe Photoshop
Piktochart
Filming
DSLR Camera
GoPro
Editing
Adobe Premier Pro
Whilst creating our final media product we had to use programmes that we weren't familiar with before starting the course, this helped us widen our understanding of media software and gave us great experience while using them. Firstly, I found out about so many different presentation software within the research and planning task, one of these being piktochart, piktochart is a programme that allows you to create cool info graphics and presentation posters. This allowed me to make my coursework visually appealing and also added a fun element to the project, using this programme insured that I wouldn't use programmes like PowerPoint too much and also gave my work a bit of diversity.
Survey Monkey is a programme that I had used prior to this course but I had only used it on one occasion so using it again was rather challenging
however, Survey Monkey is an extremely useful tool to use when gathering data especially for research tasks as you can place the questionnaire on somewhere like a action/adventure blog so that you get specific replies from your target audience this is a lot better than placing it on somewhere like Facebook where you would get rubbish responses that don't fit into your target audience. As well as this Survey Monkey allows you to get answers that are specific to your work as you can customise it yourself, another feature that makes this piece of software amazing is that it gathers all of your data and processes them into different forms, that can be either a table, graph or pie chart. This made creating tables and graphs so simple as you could just copy them from Survey Monkey rather than having to create them on your own in a different piece of software.

When we moved onto the filming process we had to learn how to use the DSLR cameras, however learning how the cameras worked wasn't the issue, the most challenging part to the task was being able to manipulate the camera in ways that will make the shots unique and make a difference to our piece, this was sometimes very difficult as we was working in tight allys with small amounts of room which was not ideal for a tri-pod however we overcame that problem with changing the angle, height and position of shots which allowed us a lot more room. Having more room for a shot allowed us to manipulate the camera more than before as we could think of more imaginitve ways to do the shot which fitted the genre a lot better. As well as the DSLR camera our group also used the GOpro, we used a GOpro as a chase scene was a mian part of the film and seeing it from the first person view added a different element to the film and made it rather individual. This also gave the film a different edge with it looking at times mysterious as you couldnt see anyones face just the setting and whats was going on in the background.
